Airbag defects continue to endanger the public. There have been numerous articles recently concerning deaths and serious injuries linked to shrapnel from exploding inflators in airbags manufactured by Takata. As the Takata recall continues to expand, another supplier, Continental, also issued a large recall due to a defect that may cause airbags either to fail to deploy or deploy at the wrong time.
Unfortunately, consumer drivers will continue to suffer from corporate malfeasance as serious injuries and death may continue to occur until all affected vehicles are recalled.
Since consumers are always the victims of corporate negligence in failing to ensure products are safe, it is imperative the Court system permit consumers to bring product liability cases.
